Vaccinated People Infected with Delta Variant are mostly Asymptomatic

As per the trusted sources of information, the individuals who have been completely vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine dose are still getting infected by the delta variant, however, the health officials state that the vaccine shots have proven to be protective against the virus keeping them from falling sick or dying due to the virus.

Chief Scientist, at World Health Organization, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, stated that the recent records coming from the vaccinated population show a few cases of infection from the delta variant. She further added that the majority of these cases are Asymptomatic or mild among the infected people. She further added that there is a rise in the need for hospitalization among the people especially in the places where the rates of vaccination is low and the highly contagious delta variant is spreading rapidly.

As per the US officials, all the number of deaths and hospitalizations has been occurring to the people who haven’t been yet vaccinated. According to the data by CDC, the breakthrough infections are a rare thing and almost 75% of the individuals who die with COVID are aged above 65.

Director – General at the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the delta variant is spreading across the globe with a rapid pace, which is giving rise to the number of cases and deaths among people. He further added that we are caught between the rising two-track pandemic in which the haves and have-nots among the countries is rising at the places with high vaccination rate.
