As per the trusted sources of information, the data provided by the Hillsborough County Public Schools, showcases that the student staff members talked about more than 14,300 students in the previous year of the school for Mental Health services or assistance.
As stated by the detailed plan on how the district plans to make use of their Mental Health assistance allocation, more than 70 schools in the states will have a Mental Health therapist in the school that will assist the students. Supervisor at Emotional Wellness for the district, Elizabeth Tanner, stated that in Hillsborough County, they are fortunate enough to have student service teams.
They include several agencies such as the Children’s Home Society, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Phoenix Counseling, Chrysalis Health, Elite DNA, Success 4 Kids and Families, Gracepoint, Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office, Northside Behavior Health Center, Invo Healthcare, and Healing Education Alternatives for Deserving Students.Tanner further added that unfortunately there are times when there is shortage of these qualified personnel so they make sure to interview people and bring them on board which is a problem sometimes.
